Kisses XoXo Fall Vibes DIY

So as you know I LOVE a great DIY especially when its easy and fun to make. I’ve been in the “creating” mood all fall and I have found that its not only about trends from monochrome looks, camo, to leopard but also about the creativity of the look as well!!

I’m Wearing|

Sweatshirt:

-I purchased the sweatshirt from Walmart for less than $7

-I purchased 1 yard of 2 inch elastic

-I wrapped the elastic around myself from shoulder to shoulder and then cut it to my size minus an inch to make it tight.

-I cut the top of the sweatshirt off (3 1/2 inches from shoulder to shoulder)

-I cut the bottom of the sweatshirt off as short as I wanted to wear it allowing me to have at least 4 inches of fabric for the elastic.

-I sewed the fabric from the bottom together making a tube allow for a tunnel for the elastic to fit through.

-I then attached a safety pin to the end of the elastic and put it through the tube.

-I then sewed the tube together on the ends and then pinned it to the top of the sweatshirt on the outside.

-Lastly I sewed the tube with 5/8’s inch seam allowance all the way around the tube.

Finally I designed the lips with my circuit machine and ironed them on with my vinyl press.

Circle Skirt:

-I purchased 2 1/2 yards of faux leather from my Local joann store

-I used the equation for waist measurements needed in making a circle skirt.

-I cut the waist band to my waist measurement with an additional 2 inches for seam allowance.

-I then attached the waistband and zipper to the back of the skirt.
